TRAVIS BARKER and wife SHANNA MOAKLER decided to end their marriage because she agreed to become a contestant on DANCING WITH THE STARS.
The couple announced they were separating earlier this month (08AUG06), amid rumours the former MISS USA was unfaithful during their marriage.
However, a source close to Moakler tells American publication Us Weekly her participation in the show was the real reason behind the split, saying, "When he found out, he flipped and told her he wanted a wife, not a Hollywood socialite."
Barker posted a rant on his MySpace Web page on 14 August (06), claiming he first heard about his wife's new gig from his real estate agent.
Moakler has slammed reports she was unfaithful during their marriage and tells the magazine, "I'm seriously concerned for his mental well-being.
"Perhaps the lifestyle that he leads is taking its toll. For the sake of our children I hope he seeks help."

Tokyo's subway has refused permission for an advertising poster featuring a nude and heavily pregnant Britney Spears, branding it "too stimulating" for young people.
The publishers had hoped to display the cover photo for a week at a subway station in a trendy part of central Tokyo, but ran into resistance.
"We thought some of our customers would find it to be overly stimulating," said a Tokyo Metro official.
Harper's Bazaar could not be reached for comment.
Not all was lost. The Metro and the publishers agreed to display the poster after all but masked the picture below the former teen idol's elbow with a statement reading: "We apologize for hiding part of a beautiful image of a mother-to-be."

The crooning heiress is living with Brandon Davis, according to Life & Style weekly. Davis is the oil heir who introduced the phrase “fire crotch” to the public when his ramblings about Lindsay Lohan were caught on tape. Earlier this month, Hilton declared, “I’m not doing it with anyone [for a year]. I just want to concentrate on work.”
Davis has been living with Hilton at her Hollywood Hills home since leaving rehab in July, according to the mag. He went into rehab after his infamous "fire crotch" quote was made public, although earlier this month he climbed on stage in Miami during Hilton’s record launch and used the same phrase with regards to Lohan.
His family is selling their home, so Brandon’s been shacking up with Paris at her place off the Sunset Strip,” an “insider” tells L&S. “All his clothes, his toiletries and even some of the artwork he owns.”
But the arrangement is reportedly more than temporary. Says the source: “They’re hooking up, but she doesn’t want anyone to know about it. It’s being kept very hush-hush.”

On his single days:
“It’s like this. You’re in the club. You’ve got a bottle of vodka. You’re standing up on the couches. You’ve got your right-hand man Puffy [Combs] standing there. You’ve got Danny [Masterson] and Wilmer [Valderrama] and all of our guys hanging out, and the f—king girls are fighting to see who’s going to be behind the table here…Like, f—king fighting! Like gouging other b-tches out of the way! And then you go, ‘All right, we’re going back to blah blah blah,’ and then you’re moving as a mass through the club, and you pick up about 15 or 20 more along the way. Now you’ve gotten into a car with, like, four select girls and you’re at the new space, and you just start certain things up. It was so ego-fulfilling. It was retarded.”

On one secret to a happy marriage:
“When your wife calls, you have to take it, no matter what you’re doing.”

On when he knew Demi was The One:
“So when we went to dinner I organized it so she was sitting across from me. And then she said something at the dinner table that was, like, so f—king profound that at that point, I didn’t have a choice.”

On his lack of confidence in his career:
“I’ll read how sh-tty they think I am. I don’t necessarily think all the critics are wrong….I don’t think I’m that good. And they don’t think I’m that good. So I’m not pulling that feeling out of my ass. They’re just backing up that feeling that I already have about myself.”

Britney Spears' shopping excursions need to be quick these days, toting around a baby tends to crush one's shopping groove. This recent excursion was no exception- the pop princess managed to blow $5,000 in just 30 minutes!

While son Sean Preston cat napped in the car (no, he was NOT alone), the pop star blew through the trendy store Intuition in Los Angeles. The pop diva picked up a "Lock Up Your Daughters" jumpsuit for her son, as well as other baby tees because, as she told store clerks, Sean likes to sleep in t-shirts.
The expecting mom definitely didn't leave herself out of the shopping spree. She also picked a truck load of items for herself, including a pair of Habitual Knocked Up maternity jeans.
Other items in the singer's shopping bag include a brown polka dot headband (which Britney loved because it reminded her of Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman"), a round raffia hat and a green Jano by Anja Flynt purse that Brit actually wore home.
Folks at the store said that most of the clothes Britney bought for herself are intended to be worn after the birth of her second child, as inspiration to get back down to her normal size. Good luck Brit!
Sources inside the store say the pop star seemed very happy and was a "total sweetheart" to everyone inside Intuition. The diva wasn't very "diva-like" they said, and only asked for a cup of ice while she power shopped.

Former Baywatch star David Charvet and Rock Star: Supernova host Brooke Burke have two reasons to celebrate: they are getting married and expecting a child together, Burke tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Charvet proposed during a "summertime party" he threw on Saturday night, Burke tells PEOPLE.
"It was a total surprise," she says. "It was all very romantic." She added, "He's my best friend."
Charvet gave his new fiancée an eternity band engagement ring because "it's forever," explains Burke, adding that the two of them (who are both 34) have known each other for years – but started dating last year, during Rock Star: Inxs.

A report in the British paper The Sun claims that Lindsay Lohan has been banned from Justin Timberlake's gig this weekend at L.A.'s House of Blues by Justin's management, because she's supposedly bad for his image.
The report claims that Justin's handlers didn't want Lindsay getting out of control. "That's not true, as Hilary Duff was banned [too]. No one under 21 was allowed," Lindsay's rep Leslie Sloane Zelnik says.

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan is developing her own talk show for US television. Dina, who acts as her daughter's manager, claims she is the perfect host for a show because people feel comfortable telling her their problems. She says, "Lindsay's friends call me the 'white Oprah (Winfrey)' because they all come to me with their problems. I'm like the mom of these kids in the business. I love to talk. I have a talk show in the works. It's more of an Apprentice-type game show thing. I would host it and co-produce it. We're shopping it around."
